I went to Canada. Fortunately I was not the only one, but I will tell more about it later. Take this video as a preview for my story about the weekend! :-)

Me gusta el fĂștbol
Back in Washington. Everything is as usual, and I'm practicing soccer every day after school. The end of the season is getting closer, and we are for the first time ever playing undefeated! Until now.. Anything can happen!
I am starting to enjoy it a lot, and I'm sad that we aren't playing the school year out. After April we are by ourselves, and many seniors are probably going to be busy with their graduation stuff.
It is a strange feeling that we are graduating so soon. It means I have to go home on a few months, wether I want to or not.
The time has gone by so fast, and I haven't really noticed how everything just flew past me. Not because I didn't get anything out of it, but just because it all feels like one or two months.
Our trip to LA or the DC trip don't feel like they happened for such a long time ago, even though they did. They were both wonderful, and I'm sure our last trip to Canada is going to be wonderful as well. It is the last time we are seeing each other before leaving, and we are going to do a lot of different things during the two weeks we are together. I can't wait!
What's even more weird is, is that I won't see many of them again. They live too far away, and have their own lifes in wherever they are from. There's a greater chance to see the European students again, since we all live within a pretty close distance from each other (car, air plane etc.).
No one knows what the future is bringing, but I hope that I will stay in touch with at least some of them, who made my exchange year better! Someday I will come visit you, and you are welcome to visit me, if you can find Denmark on the map! hahahahaha
Well.. Off topic, but at least I wrote something :-)
Soccer is great. Sunshine is great too.
Life is greater than everything above. Together.

Palm Springs, California
1½ hour west from Los Angeles. 2 hours flight from Portland. A few years walking from Denmark. Right under the sun. Follow all these directions and you'll hit Palm Springs. Sooner or later you will at least.
My family's parents own a house down here, so we decided to spend our spring break with them, which, in my opinion, was a very good idea. Not only for the sun and water, but also to spend some time with them and relax for a single week, before we again will go back to our "stressed" everyday.
It sounds odd, but sometimes it can be stressful to be in a foreign place, where nothing is at it is at home. Not that I do not enjoy it, but it is hard sometimes. New names you have to memorize, friendships you have to make, language skills you have to improve, responsibilities for presentations or other stuff, that I have made the decision to do, because I like it that way. I am so please that I chose to become an exchange student, and I doubt that I ever will regret a single thing from this year. Until now, it has been so great.
I got out off topic a little bit, so let's take a jump back to the south.
We are enjoying ourselves in a nice little house in Palm Desert, where we spend the time driving a round wathcing things, shopping, or just hanging around by the pool area, or maybe even in the pool. It is around 75-85 degrees during the day, and it drops down to around 45-50 degrees at night time, which is all I have asked for all winter. I don't even want to go back to Washington, when I have seen how nice and warm other places can be at this time of the year. God bless the sun!
Also, I spend my time calling friends and family at home. I do not have time to call everyone, but I try to call different people and talk with them every once in a while. I miss my friends, and they mean a whole lot to me, which I really have realized while I have been away from them for so long.
I hope our friendships will continue when I get back, and I will stay in touch with many of the wonderful people I have met from Longview, even other countries as well. All my other good friends in Rotary, which have been a big part of my year. I really appreciate everyone's support, and I hope they feel it that way as well.
Rotary is great, and there is nice people in every country in the world, that is for sure!
Take care everyone, and enjoy the rest of your spring brake!

Spring Break in Washington
Finally. The week took forever to get through, but finally the Friday came, and I could leave school for the last time in a whole week. What a wonderful feeling.
I had a great lunch with my Tolo date right after school, whereupon I went back to my house, where I packed my stuff and got ready for moving back to my first host family. It was the plan from the beginning, and I was leaving for California with them the following morning.
I was very excited about getting away from the cold north, and closer to the sun! It just started snowing that day, which made it even worse.
I just want summer. Especially when I play soccer and HAVE to be outside at least two hours a day!
Well... I didn't stop snowing, and we had five inches at our house by the time we left this morning. Terrible, but nice since we weren't going to be there anyways.
We even had to put chains on our wheels not to slide down the hill!
It all worked out fine, and we arrived in the heat around 2pm today, whereupon we had lunch at Red Robin and went to the house, where we are staying the next week.
We are staying with Joel's parents. who have a w o n d e r f u l house down here. It is like being in paradise. Indiscribeable. Palm trees, pools, golf courses, and shops in the middle of a big dessert, which keeps it relative hot all year around. We have between 75-85 Fahrenheit every day!
It is perfect, and I am very excited about this week! :-)

Easter!

Easter. Finally Easter. Apparently we did not have the whole week up before Easter, as I was used to from back home. Whatever. Everyone loves school, so it is no big deal.
At least we had Friday off, and then a spring break in 6 days!
We are going to church tomorrow, and thereafter we are going to my host mom's parents house, where we are having an Easter lunch or something. I'm excited, especially for the Easter Bunny, who is bringing the children candy (yes, I am included)! A tradition I have not heard about before, but I like it as long as I get candy! hahaha
Well, it's so hard to write when you'd rather sleep, so this is only going to be a shoooooort post, and then you can imagine the rest yourself. I'll give you a hint: chocolate....
Oh.. and by the way!
I have watched Never Back Down three times this weekend. It is probably the most inspiring and exciting movie I have seen in a long time. The fighting scenes just give you a kick that makes you want to fight! Jake Tyler builds his way up and kick the "king's" ass, steals his girlfriend, and takes revenge from what he've done to him. I would highly recommend other people to go watch it as soon as they can!
